About myself, I have no great illusions. I know what I am. I know what I'm good at. I know what I ain't. I'm always hoping to surprise myself. But I do have a love of music and I do love to communicate it, and that's the best I can do, really. And I can raise a good family, too.”

— Keith Richards

What kind of music is it...?

What kind of music is it? Well, it's sort of like Don Henley, Bruce Springsteen & John Mellencamp, jamming in the back of a converted Bluebird tour bus, on the way to the Mission Folk Music Festival.

Bryan draws his inspiration from ‘50’s to 70’s Rock, Folk, Roots, Blues and Motown, right up to today's popular contemporary artists, his repertoire spans 50 years of popular music.

Employing his own unique style and voice to make each song his own, he draws the listener in and makes you feel right at home.

He has performed in such diverse venues as, Vancouver's iconic Yale Hotel, Selkirk Music Festival, The Clarke Theatre, The Historic Dewdney Pub, The Railyard and pubs, halls & restaurants across Canada, too numerous to list. In August 2009 he toured South Australia performing in pubs, coffee houses and at house concerts.

Bryan recorded his debut E.P. in Vancouver in 1984, which received airplay on several local radio stations. In 2018 he released the Indie CD, "Bryan O'Ruanaidh Band, "LIVE" at the Railyard."

His original songs are intimate and vulnerable, reflecting life’s triumphs and tragedies.

Whether performing solo, or with the talented musicians in his current band, "tHe Hurtin' Kind" you will be entertained. The band member versatility in many styles of music, results in a repertoire that everyone will enjoy.
